That is what I did when looking for my last change. I asked everywhere. Doctor’s at other doctor visits, nurses, techs, blood lap vampire,…. All had the same answer. When I told my PCP I wanted to change and she said to who and I said Dr. Delleripa, she said "GREAT!!". So even she agreed. I live in Glendale (large suberb of LA) which is about 45-60 minutes from Long Beach, which is where the Queen Mary is docked. Glendale is about 2-2.5 hours from San Diego, depending on traffic. I was seeing Jeff Loomer the year I was in Tucson and thought he was great. Wish I could find a decent one in Phoenix. My PCP has offered to give me a new referral but after the last idiot I got that way, I’m reluctant to take a referral blind, as they say. Better the devil you know. I understand your reluctance to try another referral. Still, you may miss a good one if you don’t give it a shot. I have been pretty lucky really, but it is so stressful finding a good doctor.
